Over Christmas I had a conversation with by brother, Charles Dawson, just catching up and wishing he and his family a Merry Christmas. During the conversation it came up that one of my challenges at His Healing Hands was getting the 6-9 bags of medical supplies each team needs to the airport in Los Angeles for each trip.
The company he works for, Derrel’s Mini Storage, has a small fleet of Toyota Pickup trucks, so I asked him if he thought the owner of the company, the Ridenour Family of Fresno, California, might consider donating one other their used trucks the next time they were planning to trade one in for a new one. He said he would ask Derrel, one of the owners of the company. Charles called me back a couple of weeks later to say the Derrel and his family would donated a 2008 Toyota Tacoma to us. However since it was a pretty high mileage truck, before giving it to His Healing Hands Hands, he is having a re-manufactured engine installed in it.
