Michael & Sandy Garman

Pastor Mike and Sandy Garman have been part of the His Healing Hands family for many years. Pastor Mike has been the senior pastor at First Baptist Church, Paso Robles since 1995. It was there at First Baptist Church that Mike met Bill Walker who introduced him to the ministry of His Healing Hands. Mike was drawn to the wonderful ministry and the potential it had to share the gospel of Jesus Christ around the world. Mike became a board member in 2008 . Pastor Mike and Sandy had been on several mission trips to the Philippines but took their first HHH mission trip in 2014 to Ethiopia. They both fell in love with Africa and particularly Ethiopia and been back every year since. They have both worked the medical clinic but recently Pastor Mike has had the privilege to do leadership training in several cities in Ethiopia and thereby fulling the “L” part or leadership of His Healing Hands goal H.E.A.L.

Sandy worked as the communications director of First Baptist Church for 14 years until 2015 when she retired. She was reluctant at first to go on the first mission trip to Ethiopia. It was at the urging of Dr. Warren Frankel that she followed the call of the Lord to Ethiopia when she fell in love with the people and the country.
