New to His Healing Hands
Previous His Healing Hands Team Members:
Carl spent 22 years working in the manufacturing industry. During that time, he worked at companies small and large including Halliburton Services, Goodyear Tier and Rubber Co. and Cratex Mfg.
In 1998, God gave Carl the opportunity to leave manufacturing and begin a new career in full time vocational Christian service. First as a Pastor of Administration and Evangelism at a church in San Diego, Ca. who ordained him to the Gospel Ministry, then as Ministry Director for another ministry organization.
In 2009 Carl joined the staff of His Healing Hands as their Communications Director. In 2015 the Board of Directors at His Healing Hands asked Carl to become the CEO of the ministry.
Our team members usually come from different parts of the country. For this reason, we will have at least one ZOOM video conference meeting prior to departure.
This is the third year of a five-year commitment to work with Iglesia Esmirna-Lima and Pastor Pepe Selem. Lima is the capital of Peru.
We will conduct outpatient medical clinics in inner-city neighborhoods, helping our local host strengthen local churches as well as to plant new churches. We may also be able to facilitate evangelistic events such as daytime events targeted to groups such as police, military, educators, government officials, and students. Evening events could include festival events in sports arenas or similar venues.
After the team arrives in Lima, they will attend their first team meeting as this will be the first time all team members will be together face-to-face.
Sunday, the team will attend church with our host and meet those from the church who will be working as interpreters and volunteers.
Monday through Saturday morning, the team will do the medical clinics and evangelistic events. There may also be opportunities for sightseeing in the evenings and on Saturday after arriving in Lima. The homeward journey will begin early Sunday morning.
