2011 Challenges -- Indigenous Christian Partnerships in Action

In 2010 His Healing Hands faced many challenges, but God  provided -- through many people just like you. Through prayer and faith, HHH answered the medical and spiritual needs in Haiti, China, Uganda, Peru, Cambodia, and India. We retired all of our outstanding long term debt, and helped launch an indigenous dental training program for the first time in Uganda. In 2011 we have planned to expand our support for our indigenous partners who will reach many more people for Christ than we could do alone. Thanks to all of our faithful supporters, our mutual ministry continues to bear extraordinary.

2011 planning is well underway. The need is very great and God has laid some exciting opportunities in our path.

1. PRAY FOR HHH. All our projects need prayer that --
   • Financial goals will be met.
   • God will raise up volunteers both here and abroad to provide clinics and to disciple believers.
   • Teams will have safe travel.
   • Officials abroad will have favor on our projects allowing them to proceed unhindered.
   • Opportunities to share the love of Christ will be provided in abundance and people will have open minds and hearts to the gospel message.
   • Individuals, corporations and/or foundations will commit to supporting the work of HHH on a regular basis.
     
     
2. MEDICAL CLINICS NEED SUPPLIES. We have the opportunity to continue reaching remote villages in Haiti, Uganda, Kenya, Peru, and, El Salvador, with medical care. We hope to physically treat at least 6000 unreached people in these areas and spread the Gospel to at least an additional 2000. The challenge is to provide the medical, dental and vision supplies for the teams. We need to raise about $24,500 ($4 per patient).
   
   
3. EAST AFRICAN PASTORS NEED EDUCATION. We have the opportunity to continue providing a two year advanced pastor leadership training program for 50 pastors in Kenya and 25 pastors in Uganda. These are pastors whose small congregations were positively impacted by our medical teams in 2009 and 2008. The challenge is to partially subsidize the training materials and trainers for the program at about $15,000 ($200 per pastor). The local congregations will provide 10,000 though sacrifical giving. The balance of  $40,000 has been provided by a christian foundation grant ..
   
   
4. EAST AFRICA NEEDS CLEAN WATER. The HHH WAter Sanitation and Hygiene training  (WASH) in East Africa is training villagers to implement a clean water program in several East African villages in 2011.   The disease prevention program is a critical follow up to the clinics that HHH does each year in East Africa -- but medicine does not prevent diseases from returning.  The challenge is to fund the program for 2011 at $25,000 - from corporations, foundations and people like you.
