This will be our first medical mission project in Uganda, but not the first time that we have worked alognside of Pastor Ken Daniel and the New Hope Africa Children Ministry. Ken Daniel and a team of three worked alongside of HHH and World Harvest Mission Church in Kenya in 2008. HHH also provided HIV test kits for the orphange in Busia. This project promises to be another flagship ministry in East Africa that we pray will eventually reach all five countries in this area.

Leading our team will be Pat and Ann Walker, both veterans with HHH medical missions.

Our team will fly into Enebbe Airport near Kampala and spend the first week conducting medical clinics at the Bugiri/ Busia ( Lutolo site) This rural site is not shown on the map above, but is directly east of Jinja near the Kenyan border. The team will be based in Busia town. While in Busia, the team will have an opportunity to visit Majanji beach on
Lake Victoria
and a baboon forest which is just 3 km from the Busia town.
The following week we will move south to the Jinja (Budondo) site This is also a rural area. It is about 8 km from
Jinja
Town
centre . Jinja is the second biggest city in
Uganda
and it's about 60 km from
Kampala
and 80 from
Entebbe
Airport
. For the site, the medical team will base/camp in
Jinja
Town
.
We plan on conducting medical and vision care at all of our clinics during the day with Jesus film showings at night. God willing we also hope to build at least one village size bio-sand water filter system at one of th sites. Team members will have the opportunity to paricipate in any or all of these activities.
Before departing for home, team members will have the extra cost option to go white water rafting on the Nile river near Bugagali Falls.
Independent Donors Needed: To contribute to help offset our cost of $5,000 to supply medical supplies for this project.
