Our ministry here started in 2004 and through collaboration with Pastor Michael Ngitha of World Harvest Mission Church, it has blossomed into a full fledged missionary outreach that covers many areas thoroughout Kenya from Mberre to Nyanza, and from Nairobi to Merti. Starting with village centered medical clinics WHMC has expanded the work in each area to include pastor training for village pastors, and providing evangelical crusades that have seen thousands come to Christ. Last year the focus was on Building Bridges That Heal bringing two embattled people groups together with one purpose: To Serve Jesus! Join us for another adventure. The first week our team will provide medical care to needy families in the urban slums in Nairobi. Nearly half of the population of Nairobi lives in these masive slum ghettos. These are the same slum areas that our Kenyan partner World Harvest Mission Church has been ministering to for the past five years. They provide a school in the area called Harvester's Academy giving daily food and instruction to the children who would have no chance without their help. Our team will provide the much needed medical care to these same people. The second week the venue is Sechu, a village town in the Taita-Taveta district. It’s about 378 kms (230 miles) south of Nairobi on the way to Mombasa . The area is relatively hot because of the coastal area, however the town where we will be staying is temperate since its surrounded by the famous Taita hills, which are a tourist attraction. The village where we will be working is about 15 -25kms (15 miles) away from the hotel.     The  Tsavo National park is just a few miles away. Here we will be able to see the wild animals and the Taita Hills  Salt Lake where the animals graze. We will be able to take an optional safari over the weekend and still get back to the hotel where we will be staying. An optional weekend trip can also be  aranged for those who might want to visit Mombasa to see the Indian Ocean and Fort Jesus where the slave trade was conducted.
