Why Do We Go? There is a great need for the ministry carried out by His Healing Hands. Did you know...... 30,000 people in the world will die today from preventable diseases! Over one billion (33%) of the people in the world have unsafe drinking water! 75% of the world population lives in remote regions outside of the United States and below the equator (The 10/40 region). 85% of these do not have access to and can not afford medical care. 40% 0f the world lives on less than $2.00 per day!  75% of the people we will meet  will  see Jesus for the first time through us!    Pastor Tim Kizziar of Sisters Community Church in Bend Oregon has said, " Our greatest fear as individuals and as a church should not be of failure, but of succeeding at things in life that don't really matter." Who Can Serve? We use volunteers from all walks of life, from young to old, students to doctors, western to eastern hemisphere.  Full time, part time, or short-term. All we require is that you have a desire to serve others and a heart to follow God. How Can I Serve? We are often asked, "How can I help?"  Our best response is one used by our Lord nearly 2000 years ago: "Come follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men." If you feel called to follow Jesus, then first you need to make the commitment. Like Isaiah you need to reply, "Here I am, Take Me". Next you need to let the Holy Spirit lead you. You will always be welcome with the rest of us who are also following. We have opportunities for volunteers in the following areas of service: We always have opportunities for general short-term, NON-MEDICAL VOLUNTEERS on one or more of our mission teams.  We need medically trained professionals, students, administrators, business people, and others who are willing to work in remote locations under somewhat difficult conditions. These opportunities are spiritually rewarding, but are not laid back vacations. We have opportunities for licensed Christian MEDICAL VOLUNTEERS from all disciplines to join our team medical staff, who will lead by example, and who are willing to commit to a 1-2 week period each year working with medical teams in a specific project area. Medical Doctors in this capacity will be asked to diagnose and treat general medicine diseases as well as perform minor emergency field surgeries that may be needed. Click here for more information.
