Service Opportunities

2010 Challenges

With the Global economy suggishly trying to recove from its lowest point ealy last year, Christian non-profit organizations like ours have been faced with many challenges. However, in spite of the economoic conditions, God continues to bless those of us who answer his call with discernment and a reliance on Him rather than ourselves. 2009 was a perefect case in point. Through prayer and faith HHH answered the expressed need in China, Romania, Uganda, Peru and Cambodia and finished the year financially better than the year before. Thanks to all of our faitful supporters our mutual mininstry bore much  fruit.

Baptisms in Cambodia 2009

Kenya 2008

2010 planning is well uderway. The need is very great and God has laid some exciting opportuniies in our path.

  1. We have the opportunity to continue reaching remote villages in China, East Africa, Peru, Cambodia, and India with medical care. We hope to physically treat at least 5000 unreached people in these areas and spread the Gospel to at least an additional 2000. The challenge is to provide the medical and vision supplies for the teams, We need to raise about $15,000 ($3 per patient).
  2. We have the opportunity to provide pastor leadership training for 50 pastors in Kenya and 20 pastors in Uganda. These are pastors whose small congregations were postiviely impacted by our medical teams in 2009 and 2008. The challenge is to partially subsidize the training materials and trainers for the one year program at $10,000 ($142 per pastor) Balance of  $20,000 from corproate grants.
  3. We have the opportunity to begin water hygiene training  (WASH) in East Africa as a disease prevention program to be conducted by Paul Owino, a trained Kenyan, who may join our staff overseas. Water born desease is the single most significant treatment we are facing in East Africa with over 50% of the patients suffering. Most of the children who die before age 5 die of water borne diseases. Treatment provides temporary help, prevention training could eventually solve the problem long term. The challenge is to partially fund the program for 2010 at $10,000. The balance of $20,000 to come from corproate grants. The goal is to reach, train, and implement a clean water program in four East Africal villages in 2010.
